Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The six-question quote tool only needs your gender, age, health status, tobacco use, death benefit amount and term length. That's all that's required to show you carrier quotes. Your name and detailed health information are requested only if you decide to proceed with an application.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes shown represent the rates each carrier offers for the health classification you selected in the quote tool. Once you apply, the actual premium will be determined after the carrier's underwriting process, which may keep, upgrade, or adjust your class. No quote here constitutes a binding offer or guarantee of any specific price.
What happens when I click Apply?
When you click Apply, you'll enter your name and the application is built from the exact quote you selected. You continue to the carrier's secure site where you can pause and pick up where you left off. All signing is electronic. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application process.
Will I need a medical exam?
Whether an exam is needed depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you want, and your health answers. Carriers offering immediate decisions can approve some applicants without an exam. Each quote clearly indicates the exam requirement for that specific product.
Is a longer term better?
Choose a term length that spans the years when your family would suffer financially if you died—typically when there's a mortgage, dependent children, or business debt. Longer terms carry higher monthly costs but guarantee your rate for more years. You can compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year options directly in the tool.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool doesn't ask for your contact information. We don't buy or sell visitor information, and we don't use cookies for tracking. For complete details on what information we collect and which third parties can see it, check the privacy page.
