Carlsbad highlight
Legoland California
Legoland California, which opened in March 1999 as the first LEGO theme park outside Europe, spans 128 acres in Carlsbad.

Legoland California opened on March 20, 1999, introducing the LEGO experience to the West Coast as the first LEGO resort built outside of Europe. The resort occupies 128 acres and features nine distinct lands: LEGO Galaxy, LEGO NINJAGO World, Dino Valley, Imagination Zone, Land of Adventure, Castle Hill, Pirate Shores, Fun Town and MINILAND USA. More than 60 rides, shows and attractions, plus THE LEGO MOVIE World and LEGO Ferrari Build & Race, serve families with children ages 2-12. A separate water park and SEA LIFE Aquarium extend the experience year-round.
The park has become a major tourist draw for families visiting the San Diego area and Southern California coastline. Located off I-5 at Palomar Airport Road, approximately 30 minutes north of San Diego and an hour south of Anaheim, Legoland California sits in a region known for moderate climate and beach access. The resort attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, making it a centerpiece of Carlsbad's tourism and hospitality economy.
For families with children, planning a stable income stream protects both daily expenses and the occasional getaway that builds family memory. Life insurance ensures that if a parent dies, a surviving spouse or guardian can continue to afford not only necessities but also the small luxuries that hold a family together through transition.
